  I first met Dr Okafor in 2010. My daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis since she was about 5 years old and wearing a hard brace to correct her spine. Her spine did not improve. She was about a 55 curved. When she was 14, her current doctor told me that she will have to have the surgery but her chances of walking proper was not good. I immediately left him and turned to her peditrician for help. At that time Dr Okafor had just moved to Lakeland and was building his practice. Dr Okafor was very impressive when I first met him. He went into great details on my daughter's condition, (something that the other doctor never took the time and explain to us), showed us pictures, models of the spines and walked us through the xrays. At that moment I know my daughter was in good hands but I still had a very important question to ask him. This was our very first day of meeting Dr Okafor and he gave me so much details regarding my daughter's condition and surgery. At the finale of our meeting, I asked Dr Okafor what will be the out come of the surgery and he simply answered "I promise you that I'll do my best". Those words I have never forget and today my daughter is straight and beautiful. I'm am forever grateful and sometimes I am unable to express to Dr Okafor how grateful and thankful we are and he is truly a miracle.
  
  My second daughter was also diagnosed with scoliosis in 2015 and about a 58 curved. I immediately told everyone taking care of her that she already has a surgeon. I was that confident that Dr Okafor will do the surgery. Again Dr Okafor stepped up and did his miracle. His patience is remakable and I am still to find a doctor that care as much as Dr Okafor cares for his patients! My daughters love him! My family and I will continue to wish Dr Okafor all the best! He is truly an exceptional Doctor!
